Environmental

Footprint. Kindround runs as static pages and edge functions on a shared platform, not on dedicated servers. There is no data centre to own and idle capacity is not paid for or powered. Cloudflare publishes its own renewable energy and carbon accounting; we do not restate it as ours.

Data minimisation. The carer app stores a 50 megabyte budget per device, photos are refused at capacity, unattached photos are deleted after 90 days, and retention is a reviewed schedule rather than indefinite storage.

Devices. The carer app is an installable web app on the phone a carer already has. No handset fleet is procured, shipped or landfilled.

Travel. Rostering with travel-aware matching can reduce miles per round. Kindround reports miles from the roster where the provider records them, and does not estimate savings it has not measured.

Social value

Built inside a CQC-registered service. The prototype partner is a working domiciliary care provider; carers, coordinators and the registered manager shape the product in weekly show and tell sessions.

Carer wellbeing. Reading age nine, one-handed use, offline by design, and a schedule that respects time off and travel. Carers are the largest user group and the product is judged on their day, not the office screen.

Accessibility. WCAG 2.2 AA across every surface, with the statement and test date published.

Tenders. Where a local authority or NHS tender asks for social value under the Social Value Model themes (COVID-19 recovery, tackling economic inequality, fighting climate change, equal opportunity, wellbeing), Kindround provides a provider-specific statement drawn from measured data.

Governance

Kindround is built and operated by Hibba Ltd. Decisions, risks and open questions for every provider engagement are kept in a register with gate sign-offs. Data protection follows the model in the trust centre: DPIA before go-live, DPA with each provider, sub-processors published. Clinical safety for medication records follows a DCB0129-style process with a named clinical reviewer. Complaints about the service can be raised through the contact form and are answered in writing within ten working days.
